Artist's Comments

The rain comes down like a victory,
In sheets of shining memory,
Over and over,
Circling around,
Oh, my love, I can't let go,
Somethings wrong, I can't let go,
Natures cruel shes laughing,
Almost too much for my heart,
When it rains.

Justis James Phillips. Beautiful. Talented. Sweet. Fun.

Our first of (hopefully) many shoots.
In my room and out in the rain in a purple princess dress.

I wanted the background to be darker, so yes.
I changed it to be purples and blues.

Does it look wrong?

there's something very engaging about her face - the only way i would change this photo is to accent it more - separate her a little more from the environment by standing a little farther back, and taking it from a slightly sharper upward angle. I have to say though - this is a nice shot. I just really want to pull more out of her face. good model selection, and nice color editing. i like the light look - makes her look glow-y. I also really like the cloth on her shoulder - maybe try and get more pieces like that?

i agree with some of the other comments, but this photo is on the whole awesome. x

it took me ages to think of this.

Ooh, the photoshopped version.
I like it because she's like the good fairy in a mood. :)
She does look very separated from the background. Personally, I'd make the environment just a little less dark, to make it look a teensy bit more natural. But hey, I'm not the amazing photography bod.

Love you..

ce n'est pas parce que les choses sont difficiles que nous n'osons pas les faire, mais parce que nous n'osons pas les faire qu'elles sont difficiles.

It does a little but it may only be me, but you could just slightly darken the shading on the subject and then it would be fine, nothing major :) good job overall though :)

I appreciate your comment, but the environment was not agreeable. I could only get a few shots because it was blistering cold and literally POURING down with rain. Her hair and body was soaked after being outside for 10 seconds. The 'savage' look on her face was because it was miserable.
I didn't have time to take lots of different shots, to spend time stand further back/upward angles, as you suggested, I didn't want to make my model sick. :P

ah, well considering the circumstances, very lovely.

yes - i have to done the freezing model bit. I find that while it looks pretty, the ice cream doesn't taste so sweet :-p

hello my darling!
so I got one of these, and I don't know why.
But I love this picture. It's grown on me.
Next time it's pouring down rain on a Saturday, you can bet your butt I'll be at your house again. I'll stay out longer this time.
